After ultrasounds and biopsys, Prapti was sadly informed that she had Thyroid cancer. Prapti says “I cannot even describe how I felt, but if I have to, I felt mentally and physically drained and all alone. Feeling depressed, anxious and worried is an understatement”.Prapti underwent a major operation having both Thyroid glands removed. She wakes up in immense pain with stiffness and swelling in her neck. After weeks of pain, she discovered she has 0 calcium in her body and is suffering from trembling, spasms, stress, anxiety and Claustrophobia. Extremely tired and no energy. Without thyroid hormones your metabolism does not work. Once recovered, Prapti went for her check-up, and all hell broke loose, the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. 5 lymph nodes removed. Over the months, Prapti sensed negativity and hostility from people around, due to her illness and quickly realised her worth. The support she needed was nowhere to be found. From child birth complications to cancer, she has now realised that health is the most important factor. look after yourself first then others! Prapti has decided to spend the remainder of her life to help, motivate and inspire people. She says “it’s never too late”. After her 2nd operation she decided to complete YTTC and contacted Divine Yoga Alliance. Prapti’s says “my guru Suman has helped, made me feel better and improve my life through his teachings, he is my inspiration, training and pushing me every day, I feel privilege to get this opportunity and guidance from him, which has enabled me to give back to society”.
